Headshot of Attorney Alexander GilewiczAlexander Gilewicz

Having represented thousands of clients across northeast Florida, I come into every case with a wealth of experience and knowledge. My trial experience includes a wide range of offenses from misdemeanors through life felonies. I take pride in fighting through difficult cases that other lawyers may turn away. My candor and attention to detail will help guide you through an incredibly difficult time while my dedication to you and your case will ensure that your rights are protected.

Personal Life

Alex served in the United States Marine Corps as the Section Chief on a M-777A2 Howitzer. He deployed as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom to Rutbah, Iraq in 2008 where he received a combat meritorious promotion to Corporal and a Meritorious Mast for his service. Alex was later promoted to Sergeant and travelled to Morocco as part of Operation African Lion. Alex and his wife reside in Saint Augustine with their Shih Tzu ‘Jury Grace’. While serving eight years in the United States Marine Corps, he became instilled with the core values of honor, courage, and commitment. These values, taken together, mean always doing what is right even in the face of overwhelming adversity. While criminal charges can be daunting, you can rely on him to stand by your side and continue to fight for your constitutional rights.

Experience

My experience extends beyond just the trial level. I also guide clients through the appellate and post-conviction process. I have filed numerous merit briefs with the State's District Court of Appeals as well as Post-Conviction motions fighting for clients rights to a new and fair trial. Unlike some attorneys, I am not afraid to seek Oral Argument before the appellate courts and have argued before the Fifth District Court of Appeal. My experience and attention to detail will ensure that any error made by the Prosecutor or the Court at the trial level is properly preserved and brought to the attention of the Appellate Courts.
