Issuing an Order
In order for a repeat violence injunction to be issued, there must be at least two (2) incidents of physical violence, threats of violence, or stalking against you or a family member. In addition, at least one of these incidents must have occurred within the last six (6) months.
Violence is defined by statute to mean:
- Assault, aggravated assault, or sexual assault
- Battery, aggravated battery, or sexual battery
- Stalking or aggravated stalking
- False imprisonment
- Any criminal offense committed by a person resulting in physical injury or death of another person
