A native of Moscow, Russia, Kate has only been living in the U.S. since the age of 15 (a feat in itself considering the difficulties presented by life in a new country, particularly speaking a new language). However, Kate took these “difficulties” and turned them into opportunities. In fact, in the interview she reveals that her immigration to the U.S. and pursuit of the American Dream are what first fueled her entrepreneurial side.
Kate’s takeaway advice to listeners: “I would say to other small firm practitioners: Strive for a healthy balance between family and being a lawyer. I would also suggest to seek a mentor, who will provide guidance, as you grow in your profession and rise to new challenges.”
